Shri Sanjay Kumar, an officer of the 1985 batch of the Indian Police Service (IPS) and belonging to the Himachal Pradesh cadre, is a highly respected former senior police officer with over three decades of distinguished service in law and order, internal security, vigilance, and disaster management at the state and national levels. He is known for his strategic vision & operational acumen and has made significant contributions to the development of the security and disaster management frameworks in India.
